Resin EP-03 (epoxy)
Epoxy resin EP-03 is a liquid epoxy resin based on bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin. It is approved as a standard resin for its other modifications. There is also a large number of curing agents used for curing of the liquid epoxy resin at ambient temperature.
The most widely used products are aliphatic polyamines, polyamides, amidoamines, cycloaliphatic amines and their modifications. The above mentioned products are sometimes cured at elevated temperature to improve some of their particular properties such as glass transition temperature and chemical resistance.
Curing at elevated temperature is a required process and post-curing is necessary as a rule to formulate end properties of the product to be used as a catalytic anhydride.
