An organic substance – tetratomic spirit – 2,2, dimethylol 1,3-propandiol Pentaerythritol is a crystalline white substance, molecular weight being 136,15. Pentaerythritol has all the properties of polyatomic spirits, well soluble in glycerine and water, is almost insoluble in standard organic solvents. Pentaeryhritol is a multifunctional non-toxic product, making no toxic combinations with other substances in the air as well as in the sewage. Micronized pentaerythritol is a finely dispersed, providing at T⁰ above 250 °C formation of a carbonic duricrust of low heat conductivity – due to this thermal exposure on the protected material or construction is significantly reduced.
